I have been going to Joe Craven's Jamborees that happen in the spring and fall of each year in Dixon, (near Sacramento) California. I bring my tenor guitar (also tuned DBGE) and one evening of the 4-day Jamboree I met Kim Alexander and I found that she had just bought a Martin tenor guitar. I just had to sit down and talk to her. She finds the tenor guitar can be friendlier to play on a jamming weekend. She later wrote me that,
"I have wanted a tenor guitar ever since I heard a woman playing one ten years ago at the Strawberry Music Festival and realized how functional and versatile an instrument it is.
We played a few songs and she shared that she has a community radio program on KVMR FM 89.5 that airs once a month with a wide variety of music with has short clips and links to chord sites. Here's link to the webpage for her October 11 show jam songs. Below is a cut and paste inactive page clip to get a feel for what you will find there. Link for all of Kim's shows Mar 2022 to Present. There's approximately one song per every 5 minutes in the 2-hour show. I have looked thru several shows and I have found several gems in each. It's fun to take peak thru a friend's songbook and see where you have overlap or find songs that spark some curiosity.
