Mugambo Italiano || Seminatori di Grano (Gianmaria Testa) - Baritone Ukulele Cover

Trilingual Dirk, aka MugambisMonkey, plays a moving Italian song.

This got me thinking about languages and I found a site to tell me what the most spoken languages are. Interesting to note that number one is spoken approximately 2-1/2 times more than the number two language. I was surpised to find that number 2 was English as it follows Mandarin Chinese. Take a look at this chart if you're interested, link. Swedish didn't make the list. My mother is from northern Sweden and I speak a little swedish.

MugambisMonkey || Banjolise (Tenor Banjo DGBE)

The Baritone Ukulele has another cousin called the Tenor Banjo. Here, MM, or Dirk has shared a good banjo tune with us via YT.

Dirk (MagumbisMonkey) || Brauner Zucker im Kaffee - Baritone Ukulele Original (German)

Dirk is a creative force in the ukulele community. He writes original songs and befriends other YouTubers and supports their work and arrangements -- sometimes even recreating a song or two. He has a few baritone ukuleles too: A Pono, A Mango Pono, and a guitar converted to a Bari. What dedication to his craft. I like the sound of this song in German some of the words are very similar to the Swedish words that I know.

Dirk (MagumbisMonkey) || Plays an Original for another Song Challenge

Dirk has a great Pono Baritone Ukulele and always seems to be up for a song challenge. He's a member of the German Ukulele Club and I think has started a new trend. I think his hat should be the new standard for Baritone Ukulele players for that look of distinction.

MugambisMonkey || Is there a Song? (YT Cover)

Here's a song that Dirk is honoring by performing a cover of another YouTuber named Michelle. He has tweaked it but what a good song and story. What a joy to be an amatuer an create someting new and to see it blossom so beautifully. Great fingerpicking performance Dirk aka MugambisMonkey.

Dirk is also in the Baritone Players list in the sidebar as MugambisMonkey.

Dirk from Germany puts Brass Strings on A Pono Baritone

Dirk a.k.a. MugambisMonkey's words about his experiment...

This is an experiment. I put bronce strings on my Pono mahogany baritone uke (which has a scale length of 550 mm), using the following string diameters: .023w(D) .017(G) .014(B) .010(E). The uke sounds slightly out of tune (however it is not), I guess it's because of the compensated saddle which is made to compensate nylon strings and thus "overcompensates" now. I like the sound, but a real tenor guitar probably sounds better. :-) The sound is acoustic, I just use the Microcube in the background to play back the rhythm. Please cut me some slack since I usually never use a pick.
