Mark Jackson & Jane Jelbart || Under the Maui Moon

It is amazing the connections we can make across the world with our unique shared interests. I am a recovering eBay addict. At one time, I was collecting ukulele player photos and came across a regular adversary, Terry C. from Australia. We had quite a long correspondence and shared player images. He used some in his Cliff Edwards YouTube "music videos" under the name BeareTube.

About a year ago Terry's good friend A.J. Leonard, also from Australia, came to the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz and taught and was the feature attraction of the evening. And I must say a top notch player. Now the connections continue with Mark and Jane playing a A.J. tune and Jane is playing a Baritone Ukulele.

June 2, 2012 -- Mark & Jane perform this AJ Leonard on their front verandah in Newcastle. Mark is playing a tenor Makana Mele ukulele from the Big Island of Hawaii. It is made of perspex (plexiglass) and lined with Hawaiian shirt material. The pictured lady has unfortunate anatomical anomalies. Jane is playing a baritone ukulele.
