Patrick || The Daily Frail

Hello Bari-Ukers! No, your eyes are not deceiving you. That is a banjo. I really like Patrick because he teaches with such joy. I think that the techniques shown in this video would be fun to use on the big-uke too. I love the country blues sound. I have to give it a try myself this evening.

  1. Love the enthusiasm in this video. I'm a 2/3-finger banjo player, and recently picked up the baritone uke, and tuned the first string to D instead of E to match the 4 melody strings of the 5-string banjo (open G). I have been using many banjo/guitar techniques like slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and "open" pull-offs on the uke, which I am loving more every day.

  2. Kevin -- I'm glad that your're sharing music on the bari. You are definitely giving the blog a new flavor of bari. Much appreciated! Jeff / HU
