LESSON || Glen Rose || Blues Ukulele with Jazz Chords

Glen Rose has prepared another quick lesson on the Baritone Ukulele tuned GCEA (Low G) but all of the instruction is good for the DGBE tuned instrument. (Except the C13 would be a G13, the F9 would be a C9, etc...)

  2. I think perhaps you were thinking C9 when you typed B9, Jeff.

  4. Glen, I"ve had your "Jazzy Ukulele" book for exactly two weeks now and have been attacking my baritone uke daily with your book in front of me!.

I"ve always considered myself a very slow learner and had second thoughts as to wether starting the uke at age 80 would work out for me.
But, today, after two weeks studying the uke with your Jazzy Uke book, it hit me like a ton of bricks!... I really do believe that you should get an award or something just for the info you've got on pages 24, 25 and 26!..

My point being, that for quite a few of your chords, you just drop down,
or, go upwards, (chromatically) without even changing the fingering!.
So, for this "slow learner" I got so excited to see that I could do all
the finger manuevering with no effort!.

And, to this amatuer, it appears that there are more "easy" chords than there are "difficult" chords to finger practice!..

So, it appears that I've easily discovered an "easy way", thanks to pages 24, 25, and 26!.. so, now, I'm devouring the whole book with a passion because I now know what the hell I'm doing after these two weeks of study!.. Thats no too bad for a "slow learner, is it?...

As I write this, I know that your on vacation in Thailand.. okay, have an enjoyable visit over there and I"ll email you when you get back, whenever that is...

    Thanks again......Sal Pedi
