The Barried DoGBonE...

I like to call DGBE tuning DoGBonE tuning. It is more accurately called Chicago tuning. I created a short-lived blog that was named, "The Barried DoGBonE" (TBD) It was also as ill-named as Humble Baritonics as neither the word "baritone" or "ukulele" were in the title. I wanted a place to show off bari-talented players but either the blogger tools were weaker or I have become more aware of the blogger tool applications as time went on -- but the format was a big mess. So this creation, thought work, became "The Bad-Ass Baritone Ukulele" (TBABU) blog.

I like the simplicity of TBABU. There is a single post for each player. There's a great amount of inspiring players. It is close to 150 posts from around the world with a wide variety of players.

Today, as I was doing some blog clean-up, I went back to "The DoGBonE" and reminisced. The player with the greatest number of hits was suprisingly, Katharine Whalen. She was in the Squirrel Nut Zippers swing band and I suppose she had a tad bit more notoriety beyond the baritone ukulele playing world.

Second on the hits list was Those Darlins'. And third is Todd Baio. He was generous enough to share some excellent photos of himself. They're great, go ahead, take a quick look.

TBD, will have holes as people have come and gone from YouTube. I do not plan to update it as TBABU is its replacement.

The are some bari sites on FaceBook and I have them linked in the column on the right sidebar (on Bari-uke-Tech). If you like what you find here on Humble Baritonics, The Bad-Ass Baritone Ukulele, Bari-Uke-Tech or the Barried DoGBonE please let others now about it.

Thanks, Jeff / Humbly Ukin.
