Here's Lou Armer in some Smokey Terrain band photos where she's posing with an f-hole Tenor-Bari at a train station in Feb 2009. (Kayne, Patrick, Lou, Dave, Mark Avis). Lou has been putting together professional UkeHunt podcasts of the best ukulele music , here.
And you can hear Lou play and sing, here.
This photo was taken at Manchester Piccadilly. We'd just come back from doing the folk train to Glossop & back. We also played at Glossop Labour Club in between. I think I was singing Blue Moon here. I also busted out some Formby that night, I seem to recall. I hadn't been playing the uke long at all, only a couple of months at that stage.
ReplyDeleteSo you did reveal a secret!!!

Hello & welcome Herman, I am honored to find you commenting here on the baritone ukulele site. What secret are you referring to? [I was surprised on another post about a baritone-ukulele-looking instrument from the late 1920's.] I have seen Armelle post that you have been teaching her and I know she has a Pono bari. Jeff
