Woodrow Instrument Company

I have a Woodrow Instrument in my collection. It is a strum stick version of the Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer. My wife Wendy bought it for me after one of her craft shows where the builder Dan Williams was selling them. I has a standard dulcimer and wanted to have another instrument sound to enjoy. Now I get to see Dan with his Woodrows each year and have a little playing time.

This is an instrument that has "no wrong notes." It is fun to play and Dan tells me that he often works out the melody on his Woodrow since it has a musical scale of Do-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La-Ti-Do.
check out this article on Dan, his store Appalachian Strings, and how his instrument is featured on the intro to Lady Antebellum's "Long Stretch of Love."
